VIP security

You protect a site with fixed measures. You can only protect a person by moving with them. Our VIP security service is close protection covering the protected person’s entire day: a trained team that stands beside them, goes ahead of them and secures their back.

CAT Güvenlik Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti. operates exclusively in security. We deliver close protection under Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services, with licensed officers and within our quality system.

Our protection approach

Our working principle is written in our name: Brave, Agile, Alert. In close protection this means not reacting to an incident, but giving it no chance to occur.

Foresighted

Risk is assessed before the protected person sets out.

Planned

Every assignment rests on a written protection plan; nothing is improvised.

Alert

Attention stays outward throughout; the officer reads the crowd, the vehicle and the approaching person.

Discreet

Protection is provided without disrupting the person’s work or private life.

Layered protection

  1. Protected person. At the centre of the plan.
  2. Close protection. Right beside the protected person.
  3. Perimeter security. Venue, entry points and vehicle arrangement.
  4. Reconnaissance and assessment. Route, schedule and threat picture.

Who it is for

  • Senior executives and board members
  • Business people and their families
  • Guests and delegations from abroad
  • Public figures
  • People who have reported threats, harassment or stalking

The service may be continuous, or for a single trip, a single meeting or a defined period.

Our protection officers

Close protection is different from a standard guarding post. The officer’s manner, foresight and discipline of discretion matter as much as their licence. Every stage from selection to supervision is followed in detail.

  • Officers holding an armed or unarmed private security ID card under Law No. 5188
  • Team supported by protection training at our own security training institution
  • Assignments planned and supervised by managers with a law-enforcement background (Police, Armed Forces, Gendarmerie)
  • Officers familiar with protocol who can work in plain clothes in corporate settings
  • Assignment, supervision and reporting recorded under our quality management system
  • Signed confidentiality undertaking for every officer

Team formation

Protected person — the formation is built around them.

  1. Point. Clears the way, checks entrances and doors.
  2. Left flank. Covers approach from the side.
  3. Right flank. Covers approach from the side.
  4. Team leader. Rear security, decisions and communications.

Route reconnaissance

  1. 1
    Departure point

Departure time and arrangement are set in advance.

  2. 2
    First checkpoint

A pre-surveyed halt point on the route.

  3. 3
    Second checkpoint

Switching to the alternative route is assessed here.

  4. 4
    Destination

Venue, car park and entrance are seen beforehand.

Main route — the planned primary road.
Alternative route — used in case of road closure or risk.

Types of close protection

Personal escort

An officer or team accompanying the protected person throughout the day. 24/7 or at set hours; from a single officer to a multi-person team, as the risk requires.

Residence and workplace protection

Fixed posts for home and workplace, access control, visitor management and night patrol.

Meeting, reception and event protection

Temporary assignment planned with venue layout, entry points, protocol flow and crowd management. The venue is surveyed before the event.

Travel escort

Protection on city and intercity trips, airport meet-and-greet and transfers; advance check of the accommodation.

Family protection

On request, a separate assignment covering the school, shuttle and daily routes of spouse and children.

Additional support when needed

The close-protection team is the core; the items below are added to the plan as the risk requires.

  • Convoy arrangement and vehicle protection
  • Advance route and venue reconnaissance, alternative route plan
  • Threat assessment and risk analysis report
  • Electronic security support: cameras, access control and alarms

How we work

  1. 01

    Risk assessment

The protected person’s routine, areas of movement and current threat picture are examined.

  2. 02

    Protection plan

Team size, shift pattern, vehicle needs and communication method are set out in writing.

  3. 03

    Implementation

Officers are selected for the assignment, briefed, and the assignment begins.

  4. 04

    Supervision and reporting

The assignment is recorded and checked by the supervision unit; the plan is updated as conditions change.

Confidentiality

In close protection, protecting information is as important as protecting the person. The protected person’s identity, addresses, daily schedule and travel details are never shared outside the assignment. Personal data is processed in accordance with Turkish data-protection law (KVKK). The duty of confidentiality continues after the assignment ends.

Legal framework

Our service is delivered under Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services and the related regulation. Close-protection assignments are duly notified to the governor’s office before the service begins. Possession and carrying of firearms are handled within the limits set by law.
